Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science

Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science is a four-year full-time undergraduate programme offered at M.A.M. School of Engineering, Trichy, recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated by the Anna University, Chennai.Aim of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AI&DS) is to tackle complex real-world problems(web search, speech recognition, and machine translation) that span across various practices of engineering with rigorous mathematical tools. The objective of this course is to present an overview of the principles and practices of AI to address such complex real-world problems. The course is designed to develop a basic understanding of problem solving, knowledge representation, reasoning and learning methods of AI.

This department recognizes the immense potential of the students and inculcates in them the habit of innovative thinking and problem solving capability. The faculty members have professional membership in CSI and ISTE,ISSE,IEI.

The Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AI&DS) programme enables the students to acquaint themselves with the latest developments in the field of computational technologies and also to learn innovative approaches in programming subjects.

The department offers undergraduate degree programmes. Undergraduate graduate programme incepted during 2022, the Department has been recognized as a Centre for Research, by Anna University.This department recognizes the immense potential of the students and inculcates in them the habit of innovative thinking and problem solving capability. The department is also a pioneer in developing the positive attitude to instill the self-confidence in our students.

Database Management
The Students will possess the knowledge of analyzing, planning, and constructing databases, ability to extract information for queries, and skills to develop programming interfaces to manipulate databases

Upon successful completion of 4 year B.E. degree programme, the CSE students will be able to
  • Apply the knowledge of mathematics, basic sciences, engineering fundamentals, and Computer Science and Engineering to the solution of complex engineering problems. (Engineering Knowledge)
  • Design solutions for computer applied complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.   • Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions. (Conduct investigations of complex problems)
  • Select and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern IT tools including prediction and modeling to computing related complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.(Modern tool usage)

Curriculum Association Activities

Our Department Association has organized several guest lecturers with eminent personalities fromindustryandinstitution,seminars on current scenarios & workshop for recent trends in IT with hands on session.ProgrammingContest,paperpresentationcontest,Multimedia Contest and Innovative Project Exhibition are conducted every year for students under student association .

RFT, Infosys Campus Connect Foundation Programme, LAMP Course, Oracle Java Certification courses, International Certification on Cloud Infrastructure and Services are organized in association with reputed industries in each semester for the benefits of the students.
