The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering was established in the year 2010. We are offering a four year Degree programme in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with an annual intake of 60 students and a two year Master Degree programme in Power Electronics and Drives with an annual intake of 18 students.
In the Academic year 2015-2016, The Department was accredited by NAAC. The Programme offers a blend of academic study and lab experience in engineering with specialization in the main fields of Power Engineering, Control systems and Electronics. The purpose of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering is to provide professional training, and at the same time to participate actively in applied and theoretical research.
The Department strives to instill in students the attitudes, values, vision and training that will prepare them for continued learning and leadership, to develop the ability and passion to work wisely, creatively, and effectively for the benefit of society; to generate new knowledge for the betterment of humankind and disseminate it universally; and to generate realistic and innovative solutions for the current and future technological needs.
Our department has extended its service to the society by conducting short term courses on Rural Developement Program for unemployed rural youth and uneducated home makers to enable them to opt for self employment.
The Electrical and Electronics Engineering programme enables the students to know about the recent trends in Engineering fields and their applications in various industries and to generate realistic and innovative solutions for the current and future technological needs. The Department strives to instill in students the attitudes, values, vision and training that will prepare them for lifetimes of continued learning and leadership.
We are offering a 4 year UG programme in Electrical and Electronics Engineering which was started in the year 2010 and 2 year PG programme in Power Electronics and Drives which was started in the year 2010 that will help the students to develop their innovative ideas and to implement them in various fields, which results in the upliftment of their future and also to the society.
