PROGRAM SPECIFIC OUTCOMES (PSOs)

Foundation of Electrical Engineering: Ability to understand the principles and working of electrical components, circuits, systems and control that are forming a part of power generation, transmission, distribution, utilization, conservation and energy saving. Students can assess the power management, auditing, crisis and energy saving aspects.

Foundation of Mathematical Concepts: Ability to apply mathematical methodologies to solve problems related with electrical engineering using appropriate engineering tools and algorithms.

Computing and Research Ability: Ability to use knowledge in various domains to identify research gaps and hence to provide solution which leads to new ideas and innovations.

ACHIEVEMENT

Department of EEE has got the permanent Affiliation by Anna University, Chennai.
In the Academic year 2014-2015, 70% of the students were placed in various MNC�s.
In the Academic year 2015-2016, 71% of the students were placed in various companies.
Our students of III year AND IV year attended the entrepreneurship orientation programme on JAN 2017.
Dr.R.Ilango, HOD of EEE has published a paper in �Fault Location Algorithm using impedance compensation method (ICM) for FACTS Devices compensated transmission lines�, Journal of Electrical Engineering, (Annexure � I)
Dr.R.Ilango, Hod of EEE department has published a paper in �Fault Location Method for STATCOM Connected Transmission Lines using CCM�, Circuits and systems.
Dr.R.Ilango, HOD of EEE has secured 69% in NPTEL in the subject of �Advances In UHV Transmission And Distribution�.
M.Meenakshi & M.Dharani Devi has published a paper in �Stepped Multi Carrier SPWM Techniques For Seven Level Cascaded Inverter� in International Journal of Emerging Technologies in Engineers Research(UGC approved Journal).
Mrs.M.Dharani Devi has published a paper in �Multi Carrier Based Pwm Control Strategies For Five Level CMLI� in the Journal Of Network Communication And Emerging Technologies. (UGC approved Journal).
Mrs.M.Dharani Devi has published a paper in �Development of multi carrier SPWM techniques for cascaded MLI� in the International journal of computational Engineering Research(UGC approved Journal)
Various guest lectures and seminars has been arranged for the students welfare.
Abubacker Siddique of II year student has won First Prize in APP2PICK entrepreneurship program conducted by Karpagam College of Engineering.
B.RAMANI of II year EEE won II prize in paper presentation conducted by national level technical symposium.
V.BENJAMIN YESURAJ & M.MANIKANDAN has won II place in the paper event of paper presentation conducted by association of EEE in UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING, Pattukkottai.
P.H.SANJEEV BARATHI has won II place in zonal round of ROBO TRYST- 2014, organized by Rob Sapiens Technologies Pvt, Ltd., in association with TRYST � 2014, IIT DELHI.
HARISH KUMAR has been a STUDENT AMBASSADOR to KURUKSHETRA held in CEG Anna University Chennai.
Prasath, Jeyaganesh, Abudhahir, Deepika, Rajalakshmi, Mohammed Azarudeen, Mahalakshmi, Ruban Nicholas, Giridharan has attended safety awareness programme.
Jeyaganesh, Abudhahir, Mohammed Azarudeen, Ruban Nicholas were presented a paper on �DIGITAL ELECTRICS� conducted by NIT, Trichy.
Muralidharan.V and Senthil Nathan.A presented a paper in national level technical symposium at Coimbatore Institute of Technology.
Our student A.Karthick attended in- plant training in central workshops in southern railway.
Most of the students are placed in various companies like SRM TECHNOLOGIES, TATA Businnes Support Services,HDFC, MAINTEC, SriSai Pumps Pvt,Ltd etc.,
More than 5 faculty members of EEE has presented papers in various national and International Conferences.
Our Department II year and III year Students has won so many awards for Paper Presentations and Project Presentations held in NIT, Trichy., during the Year 2014. No student ever attains very eminent success by simply doing what is required of him it is the amount and excellence of what is over and above the required, that determines the greatness of ultimate distinction� Thus our Department II year and III year Students have proved the above fact by winning so many awards for Paper Presentations and Project Presentations.
